Born from Italian and Argentinian parents, Sara grew up in between two cultures and two continents, with an early, insatiable curiosity towards the different ways beauty unfolds in the world.

Following a clear vocational call, Sara started studying fashion design at the age of 16, attending a technical design and pattern-making college in Italy.

She further developed her studies in Fashion Design and Fashion Studies at the University of Florence, in Italy, completing them as a guest student at the Universität der Künste and the Humboldt Universität in Berlin.

Besides defining her personality as a designer and learning the tools to convert beautiful ideas into beautiful realities, these years of study opened a new door, a door towards what lies behind the shimmering surface of fashion. Sociology and Psychology of Fashion, Cultural and Visual Anthropology and Post-Colonial Studies also became open fields of study, which have been kept alive through passionate research until today.

After 10 years working for multinational fashion companies as a Lingerie, Homewear, Casual and Accessories Designer, Sara decided to follow an independent path, in line with her personal beliefs and creative research. As a result, she launched Azar Studio in 2018 and has worked ever since as a Freelance Fashion Designer and Consultant for third-party fashion brands, suppliers and manufacturers.
